Professor Khalilur Rahman Khan

Professor Khalilur Rahman Khan (K R K Sir) was a noted mathematician and a reputed teacher in the Dept. of Mathematics of Dhaka University from 1964 to 1969. He then switched to Business Administration with an M.B.A degree from Indiana University (Bloomington), USA in 1971. At this time he received advanced training in computer technology and application particularly computer programming, and systems Analysis and Design.

Prof. K R K Sir pioneered computer education and training in this country since 1973. As a faculty member of IBA, Prof. Khan designed and gave courses in Computer Programming in different computer languages and also in Systems Analysis & Design. He trained a few thousand students and professionals in computer technology over a period of 28 years (1973 – 2001). He was also Chairman -MBA Program at IBA.

Prof. K R K Sir is a Fellow of Bangladesh Computer Society, and Life Member of Bangladesh Mathematics Association and of Bangladesh Economics Association. Prof. Khan worked as a consultant for a good number of national and foreign organizations.

 

Saifur Rahman Khan

Saifur Rahman Khan (SRK Sir) is a former lecturer of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM). Graduated from BUET (EEE), he was awarded the prestigious Monbusho Scholarship of Japan and did his MBA in the International University of Japan.

He grew up in the Fuller Road Colony adjacent to British Council. In his school life he made his mark as sportsman in school athletics and chess. He became runner-up in the national contest of chess (sub-junior group). In the 80s, he was a several-time winner of ‘Jodi Kichu Mone Na Koren’ –a general knowledge contest of BTV presented by late Fazle Lohani.

He also had an outstanding performance in GMAT, getting 740+ out of 800 score in this test. With this superb score he proved his English skills well above most Americans and British.
